Last month, Armie Hammer backed out from his role in the upcoming romantic comedy movie called “Shotgun Wedding,” co-starring Jennifer Lopez.

Consequently, Josh Duhamel was brought in to take Armie Hammer’s place as the lead role in the movie.

Scandalous messages were leaked, allegedly from Armie Hammer

Armie Hammer stepped down after the alleged direct messages from Armie Hammer’s account were leaked by an anonymous source- House of Effie. Though the messages are not validated yet, they contained cannibal fantasies that were allegedly from Armie Hammer. The Man From U.N.C.L.E actor has denied all associations with those messages.

Josh Duhamel, 48, will be joining Jennifer Lopez to begin filming on February 22, in the Dominican Republic.

Armie Hammer, 34, mentioned why he decided to leave the Shotgun Wedding shoot, “I’m not responding to these bulls— claims but, in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.” The actor added that “Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.

 

Lionsgate’s new upcoming film “Shotgun Wedding

Shotgun Wedding” is a Lionsgate romantic comedy film that boasts famous producers like Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Reynolds. The upcoming film will be directed by Jason Moore and written by Mark Hammer. The movie follows a couple who are having a destination wedding, inviting their families, and then getting cold feet. The embarrassing situation turns sour when their families get held hostage and now the couple has to save them.

Josh Duhamel has had an incredible year, with two films of his own in 2020- “Think Like A Dog” and “The Lost Husband.” He also directed his first comedy film called “Buddy Games.”
